Just created this account in hopes that more users complaining will convince them to change it. I also moved here from chrome because I hated grid view. Will be moving on to a different browser if this isn’t eventually changed.

What annoys me even more is they said nothing about this in the version change notes on at least the Google Play Store. It just says something about adding news announcements and performance improvements.
At an absolute minimum they need to add an option to increase the overall size / font size of the group tile titles because this is a huge accessibility issue for sight-impaired people. I have dry eyes and it literally makes my eyes hurt to read needlessly small text like that.
It’s also ridiculous how the group tab website titles display only 9 characters of the website title. You can’t even tell what website the tab represents half the time especially if you have multiple tabs open on the same site like multiple articles from a news website.

I use Brave due to this key functionality.
So please any recommendations for an Android browser which will allow stacked tabs?
Or will Brave sort it out or die into obscurity with an almost complete lack of users?

I came to brave over chrome because of the tab groups. I guess now i can go back to just using chrome…unless can have my old tab view back

Made an account just to say Im giving them two updates to fix this before I jump ship. I might as well use Google’s horrible Chrome if I’m going to be stuck with this grouping.
I’ll be looking for alternatives in the mean time.

I HATE grid tabs. Thats the only reason i left Chrome.
Just found another browser with cascade and the good tab handling.
Kiwi browser. Just tried it (only because of this layout)

Another one creating a new account just to say the same. I jumped from Bromite to Brave because they had the cascade tab view. Now that they have removed it I’m moving to Firefox. What a non-sense decision to be made. Why would someone force anyone to use such an awful layout? If they want to implement it just do it without forcing or removing the cascade list view. Who made that decision and why?

Another on the list of people making accounts solely because I hate the grid view and want the stack back. That + decent pw & bookmark syncing with my pc is why I’ve stayed so long, but I’m gonna give opera a try until/unless this gets reverted. I can’t find anything from my 60+ tabs while in grid view.

Made an account just to tell you I’m leaving. The only reason I came to brave and left Chrome is because they got rid of the option to disable grid view.

having the ability for non-grid tabs was one of the main reasons I switched to brave; I really hope that can be brought back.

I also created an account just to upvote this thread.
Usually I have a few tabs open, and I like to close them frequently. With this new design it’s just impossible to reach the top tabs with just one finger…
I’m not leaving like some here, but I’m looking forward to a solution.
