@Saoiray This is a great first step! It still lacks the scrollability in something like Microsoft Edge, where you can scroll up/down and left/right to get a bigger screenshot.
Forgive me, if I’m wrong. Ever since Windows 3.11 I have used the Prt Scr button to capture everything or Alt - Prt Scr for the uppermost window.
But I would be very happy with the same kind of screenshot rightclick option in Brave that I have in Firefox for a partial screenshot. The screenshot goes to the clipboard, from where I usually paste it to a Messenger discussion or a picture editor.
I’m on Windows 11 Pro. Not sure if it’s a Windows 11 thing or what I did, but Prt Sc button actually grays out my screen a bit and lets me use my mouse to choose what to capture. Example of the process is below:

In terms of Brave, they still have the Screenshot option from the Share button on the URL, such as below:

But the problem is, it does a full page screenshot or whatever, like below:

@JJGonzales All Prt Scr does on Windows 11 is trigger Windows Snipping Tool. You can use Windows + Shift + S to do the same thing.
@Saoiray This discussion has nothing to do with the feature request. Should we move this to another thread?
Great news — this feature was just implemented with the release of v1.75.175. You can use Ctrl+Shift+S on Windows and Linux and Cmd+Shift+S on macOS to take a screenshot in Brave.
Going to go ahead and close this thread shortly as well as the feature is now present in the browser. Thank you for everyone who submitted a request.
EDIT: Note that you can also change the keyboard shortcut for taking a screenshot in brave://settings/system/shortcuts.
The feature as it stands now only allows partial screenshots of content that is visibly rendered on the screen at the time of capture. It does not support full-page screenshots, nor does it allow selection of off-screen content, which drastically limits its utility. In essence, this offers no meaningful advantage over the default Snipping Tool on Windows or macOS’s built-in screenshot utilities.
What users have been asking for -and what browsers like Firefox already offer- is a comprehensive, built-in screenshot tool that can:
These are not niche features; they are core quality-of-life functions that power users, developers, and general users alike find extremely valuable.
Releasing a feature that behaves essentially like a glorified screen snip, after five years of discussion and 120+ upvotes ![]()

, misses the mark and feels like a box-ticking exercise rather than a real response to community feedback.
Please consider revisiting this feature to include full-page capture and better integration with the browser’s DOM structure.
Brave should stand out, not just replicate a small part of what has already been available in other browsers for nearly a decade.
But it is useless, because same is doing windows/linux standard [PrintScreen].
Something we need is scrolled PrintScreen because not to often all needed can be captured from single screen size view.
or to cupture all page and select from it before saving/adding to clipboard
