This is what Capture full size screenshot looks like…
See how it cuts off a chunk of the page on the right?
This is hardly effective.
For the people who use Brave nightly, and don’t know, Brave Nightly already has a screenshot feature thanks to Chromium. It is quite alright and eventually it will hit Stable… someday.
brave://flags/#sharing-desktop-screenshots
But it is simple, because while it is only by selection, you select what you want to capture, not like the whole page.
I also has the flag for an edit mode and brave://flags/#sharing-desktop-screenshots-edit and you can add text, crop it, some annotations or arrows or whatever shapes and also emojis.
The problem I found is that is it only works in Normal windows, not in InPrivate or Tor windows, because that share menu is only available in normal windows.
Does include a full page feature as well?
No, a simple squared selection, the editor is cool though. It is better than nothing and better than using DevTools for simple things.
Ok… I’ll stick to my current extesnion then. Thank you, pal.
Will this feature really never come??
Well, there’s this now:

Baby steps…
It works but its kinda a cheesy way to do it if you used to OTHER browsers
I just click Ctrl+Prt Scr - and use blur, text, lines, and other features of the tool, then I choose rectangle, circle or something thirdly - and then it asks me, “upload, copy url, save, copy image” or any of the other combinations (can be customized), and done deal.

Did I forget to tell you, that I paid $0 for the software? ![]()
This is ShareX, right? I agree, it’s excellent – and available in the Windows Store for Windows users, so it’s an easy install and auto-update.
Screenshot capture feature We request to make it easy to capture a selected area.
I use Snipaste for screenshots, but unfortunately it is unable to capture web elements on Chromium browsers. But it works fine on firefox.
I jumped ship from Opera GX to Brave recently and while I’ve been able to live without most of its features, it had a snapshot tool that was really easy to use. It would be really nice to have that in Brave, as I hate having to go back to the old PrtSc > open MS Paint > paste > crop/do whatever I need to do . It feels like a huge step back and I really don’t want to have to download a third-party tool to do something that I used to have in the browser itself.
What features are you looking for specifically?
I’m finding that I rarely need to resort to an external tool these days if I have the following enabled:
brave://flags/#sharing-desktop-screenshots
brave://flags/#sharing-desktop-screenshots-edit
Granted, as these are ‘experimental’ features from Chromium they aren’t guaranteed to persist as Google could take them away in a future update. But I think it’s somewhat unlikely for these in particular.
I gave up on this robust feature being added to Brave and started using the free “FireShot” extension which has several easy ways (entire, visible, selection) to capture a screenshot and works very well. I can print the screenshot, or save it as a PDF or an image.
Chrome devs just left the screenshot unfinished and closed the project. Next Chrome version will come without screenshot flags.
Well that really sucks.
Alphabet Inc does not care about the cattle.
I just want to advise everyone that a screenshot feature has been added to Brave in today’s update to 1.50.114.
Hit the Share button on your URL/Search bar and then hit Screenshot.
It then grays/dims out your screen and whatever you highlight with your mouse or whatever will be screenshotted. It stores in your clipboard and also gives you an option to download it.
It’s a bit like the OP, @RiotDrummer, mentioned a while back. It’s just that they aren’t having it activated with Right click as they had originally suggested.
