Add a inbuilt media player in your phone browser

I’ve been a Brave user for a long time. I used the Quota browser for a few days, and I love the built-in video player feature, which is great. I sometimes play videos in the browser on many third-party or official sites where the video navigation is really bad. So, I think it would be good if you added a media player like the ones in the Aloha and Quota browsers that pop up for use. Now, I’m using Brave as my default, but I still keep the Quota browser for playing videos on websites.

Brave Browser on iOS includes a built-in media player specifically for its Playlist feature.

  • Functionality : The player allows users to queue, reorder, and play audio and video content (such as YouTube videos or podcasts) directly within the browser interface.
  • Offline Support : By default, the player downloads media to the device for offline playback, though users can toggle settings to stream content instead to save storage.
  • Background Playback : Leveraging iOS features, the built-in player supports background playback and Picture-in-Picture (PiP) , allowing media to continue playing when switching apps or locking the screen.
  • Native Integration : When watching standard web videos outside the Playlist feature, Brave utilizes the native iOS video player rather than a custom HTML5 player, providing standard touch controls and fullscreen capabilities.
