Spell check dictionary download failed. Please check with your network administrator to make sure that the firewall is not blocking downloads from Brave servers. since a few weeks (had to reset my pc) this message wont let the German dictionary download and therefore almost EVERYTHING is underline…

@timofuturum , Where are you trying to download the dictionary from? What exact Windows OS are you using? What Brave version are you using? If you try this in other browsers and try to do the same thing, do you get the same results?

in the brave settings itself, from the brave servers. win11 10.0.22631 Build 22631 brave v1.73.91 i dont have any other browsers insralled (or in use)

Do you have any firewalls, VPNs or otherwise altered connections that may be interfering here? Also, are you able to download other files from the internet without issue?

the windows firewall is active but ive even shut it of for a sec to see it would work, nothing else, no. Yes all the other downloads, do work fine as always.

Curious to know if you have any extensions installed at this time? Also curious to know if it’s just the German language or if any/all languages throw this error?
