Using Brave browser long time. Here’s what happened very recently.
All of a sudden on one specific financial website it does not show an MFA authentication but its ok on other browsers. It was just on that one site. Checked with them and they are OK no problem. Was there something updated in Brave recently that mess this up?

Exact URL of the website in question:

Did the issue present with default Shields settings? (yes/no)

Does the site function as expected when Shields are turned off?

Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. (yes/no):

Does the site work as expected when using Chrome?

Brave version (check About Brave):

Try, using the following site as an example of your steps to take: Charles Schwab …

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: ‘brave://settings/content/all’

Search for each and click their trash cans:

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: ‘https://www.schwab.com/

There, click the “tune” icon adjacent to the left end of the browser’s URL address; and then click on the Reset permissions button … and you will probably be prompted to reload the webpage.

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: ‘https://client.schwab.com/Areas/Access/Login

There, click the “tune” icon adjacent to the left end of the browser’s URL address; and then click on the Reset permissions button … and you will probably be prompted to reload the webpage.

There isn’t any reset permissions showing. what is showing is:

connection is secure

notifications

site settings and cookies and site data

@sidbub

Older versions of Brave Browser, might not have shown the Reset permissions button in that pop-down window. Later Brave Browser versions do show the Reset permissions button.

Found it. Its on site settings. Just to let you know when I open new private window on Brave, it works ok as I get the screen of doing an MFA for the for the digital text message. Also no problem with other websites I use with 2 MFA with no problem using Brave. Would there be an update in the near future?

@sidbub

Use the New Private Window - it works.

Re updates. Unfortunately, you have a “incomplete” score in a manner of speaking regarding your not having completed the Brave Support / Brave Community template for your issue.

Nobody knows your:

  • Brave Browser version numbers
  • Operating System (and numbers)
  • Computing device
  • The website where you encounter the 2 MFA Authentication issue

So … Brave has little to go on, with which to consider what they may accomplish and include in an update.

In addition to, your issue is Web Compatibility (and possibly an ad block issue) for “one specific financial website.” Some Ad Blocking update might be appropo … but again, Brave Support will need your help.

Though, Brave Support will undoubtedly notice that a New Private Window works, and then ask you to continue using that.
