Yes same here! Appeared today! Though yesterday it took time for a video to play, or sometimes it just showed nothing but black. Had to refresh for it to play.

But today, I was surprised to see a pestilential add slip through the cracks!

I know, right? Cheeky bastards…When i am out of my account, everything seems to be ok though . And i have no problems with YT on my Android devices…damn Apple.

I’ve tested even on both brave stable version and beta still ads on desktop and getting the experiencing issues at the bottom left before any video

I am on Windows 11, not Mac. Chrome with adblockers work fine, but Brave isn’t. Hope they fix this soon.

Today for me it also started to display ads again on YouTube. Kim Petras - Freak It (on YouTube) was the first one today with ads and by now I’ve already seen over 4 ads…

  • Subscribe to the Experimental list in brave://settings/shields/filters

  • Remove any existing Youtube filters.

  • Update Lists in an hours time. Brave Experimental Adblock Rules - Version: 1.0.56 or better in brave://components/

YouTube is working with no issues when using Firefox and UBlock Origin.

I installed ghostery for now, seems to make the Ads go bye-bye!

Are you certain about that? Just recently Ghostery started having problems with youtube as well, when you clicked on play a cryptic error would appear and the video would fail to load (this is when not logged in, I won’t create an account with them so I don’t know what would happen for people who were logged in). I reported it to Ghostery. Just recently they released version 10.5 with a new feature, but it doesn’t actually fix the problem.

They basically added a crowd sourced list whereby they document websites which have issues, when you visit one Ghostery will disable the protection for that site. It remains enabled for all others sites. To me that’s not really a solution though - as the reason you use an ad/tracker blocker is to block things - so hopefully they’re able to come up with something a bit better than that in the near future.

Gentlemen. 1. Brave doesn’t like to work with Adblock extensions. 2. Brave does not like tuning and adjustments. 3. Brave works right out of the box. The link above works fine for me. It happens sometimes that advertisements penetrate YT, then only a clean reinstallation helps. I mostly ONLY use Brave for YT because it’s the BEST. If you use ad blockers, use another browser.
