YouTube download pop-up automatically hides when Brave Shields are enabled

When I’m on YouTube and try to download a video (by clicking the three dots and then selecting Download), the download pop-up automatically hides itself along with the home screen.

I first thought it might be because of my extensions, so I disabled all of them, but the issue still happens. That makes me think this isn’t related to any extension.

What I noticed is that when I disable Brave Shields, the pop-up doesn’t get hidden and everything works fine. So it seems like the problem is tied to Shields being on.

Could someone explain why this happens? And if it’s a bug, can it be fixed?

Brave 1.82.172 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Trying to repro this, If I click “Download”, it’ll just download the episode, then say “Downloaded”

For me it’s totally hiding the Download pop up from YT

I was trying to reproduce the issue, I never saw a popup. I just get a download button, then clicking on it becames “downloaded” on the button.

Show me a sample video where this video download popup should show, but I didn’t see it on https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fjlmYQhwlp4

It is just keep it dark when I download but when I go to download section nothing is there and it prolly just hiding that popup

When I don’t use brave shield the popup appears correctly and download the whole video.

I check this with my custom filter too and extension too it is only happening because of the Brave Shield where I had set it on ‘aggressive’

Could you let me know what can be the potential case to solve this issue?
