# Youtube doesn't go fullscreen, leaving black bars

**Description of the issue:** YouTube videos in fullscreen mode do **not** occupy the entire screen on my device when viewed in Brave browser. However, fullscreen works correctly on Rumble(in Brave), other browsers(on Youtube) and with locally saved videos.

**How can this issue be reproduced?**

1. Open Youtube in Brave
2. Turn on any video, and go fullscreen mode

**Expected result:** The following image is from Rumble website.

**Brave Version:** 1.78.96, Chromium 136.0.7103.60

**Mobile Device details**

_Device name:_ TECNO SPARK 20  
_Model:_ TECNO KJ5n  
_Android version:_ 13  
_HiOS version(based on android 13.5.0):_ V13.5.0(OS13.5-T-P238-240117)

**Additional Information**

- The issue is specific to YouTube in Brave.
- Local video files and Rumble videos use the full screen as expected.
- The issue does not persist on Google and Firefox
