I’ve noticed that the pages that come up on YouTube when viewing the site in Mobile vs Desktop mode change, and the pages I’m seeing are of political nature, and what’s strange is normally I’m able to click the 3 dots next to videos and hit “do not suggest this page” etc, but these videos do not have that option at all, there are no 3 dots. I see these videos on mobile, but when I switch over to desktop mode I can’t find this same page at all. This is not content that I search for so there’s no reason it would even be in my algorithm, I don’t want political videos of any sort, even ones that I might agree with.
I’m not even sure what I’m asking here, I don’t know what a solution would be since this isn’t something that Brave controls (I don’t think so at least) it’s just an odd observation. It seems like YouTube is targeting me and suggesting these videos, and it’s like they’re aware of how viewers can block the content and are preventing us from doing so (since I believe if I could find these videos in desktop mode I could probably click the “do not suggest” option).
I just find it very interesting that I keep getting video suggestions from a particular page when in Mobile mode, but then I never see that page get suggested if I switch to Desktop.
