# You Tube gray boxes

\*\*I just downloaded Brave, when I open YouTube in Brave I only see gray boxes, also if I open You Tube from Google through Brave only gray boxes are shown.  
I already cleared cookies and history, reset Brave settings and nothing.

Open other browsers outside of Brave they show the videos without problem\*\*

**When you disable shields:  
-tracker and ad blocking  
-update https connections  
-cookie blocking  
So it allows me to watch the videos without any problem.**

**Is there a specific Shields configuration that causes the site to break? If so, tell us that configuration. (yes)

i think you have blocked the Scripts in Shields which prevents yt from functioning

You need to allow scripts
