For the record: I think that these two more recent posts refer to something closely related - maybe even identical but worded differently - to what I had been trying to describe in the present post:
Description of the issue:
When mouse-hovering to show the left vertical tab bar (or even just passing the mouse to another screen triggers this) opens the sidebar on all windows. The setting to keep it independent on every window is set to be on. I’m expecting this to only affect the currently active window.
For QoL I would expect the sidebar not to open when I pass the cursor to another window.
Origin Build type (standalone or upgraded):
Standalone Brave Origin 1.92.139 (64-bit)
Chromium 1…
When i open hover the cursor to open the vertical tabs which is completely minimised state and alt+tab, the vertical tabs bar opens on the other window which is expected, now when i move the cursor out of the vertical tabs and alt+tab, to the previous window, the alt+tab on the first window stays open even when the cursor is no where near the vertical tabs bar, and the vertical tab will not go away unless i take my cursor back to the vertical tabs bar, meaning i could open links in the window an…
And yet another one, the next day:
Description of the issue:
Vertical tab bar auto-open/close (show/hide) is misbehaving in Fedora.
Two issues:
The vertical tab bar correctly shrinks when the mouse moves away past the right edge, but when it moves away past the left edge it often does not contract.
When I have two windows open, the vertical tab bars open/close seemingly at random when the vertical tab bar in the other window is interacted with. I’ve seen variations:
win1 win2 both tab bars closed: mouse over win2 and both op…
So it appears that the issue is not limited to Linux or Brave Origin.
It also extends it to 1.93.136.
