Dear Brave Team and Community Moderators,
I am writing to formally request the restoration of Brave Rewards for users in Venezuela.
As many in the community are aware, the primary barrier for Venezuelan users has been the lack of a supported custodial wallet. However, Uphold has officially resumed its operations in Venezuela, allowing citizens to once again create, verify, and maintain active accounts.
Despite this change in Uphold’s availability, Venezuela remains on the “unsupported jurisdictions” list for Brave Rewards. This creates a significant gap for a large and loyal user base that has supported the Brave ecosystem for years.
Key points to consider:
-
Wallet Availability: Uphold is now fully functional and compliant within the region, removing the main technical and legal hurdle for distribution.
-
Active Community: Venezuela has historically had one of the most active communities of Brave users and creators who value the privacy and utility of the BAT ecosystem.
-
Economic Impact: In a region where digital assets provide essential financial flexibility, re-enabling Rewards would significantly strengthen the local Brave user base.
We kindly ask the Brave team to review the current status of the region and coordinate with Uphold to re-include Venezuela in the list of supported countries for Rewards verification.
We appreciate your hard work in navigating complex regulatory landscapes and hope to see our region back in the program soon.
Best regards.
