Last year, we made our website available to tor users with a top-level `.onion` address – [https://brave5t5rjjg3s6k.onion/](https://brave5t5rjjg3s6k.onion/) Addresses like these (v2; 16-char long) have since been [deprecated](https://blog.torproject.org/v2-deprecation-timeline) for [security reasons](https://lists.torproject.org/pipermail/tor-dev/2020-June/014365.html) and are no longer supported in newer versions of tor. As such, we’ve implemented a new address (v3, 56-char long) to access both the official Brave website as well as Brave Search: - Official Brave website: [https://brave4u7jddbv7cyviptqjc7jusxh72uik7zt6adtckl5f4nwy2v72qd.onion/](https://brave4u7jddbv7cyviptqjc7jusxh72uik7zt6adtckl5f4nwy2v72qd.onion/) - Brave Search: [https://search.brave4u7jddbv7cyviptqjc7jusxh72uik7zt6adtckl5f4nwy2v72qd.onion/](https://search.brave4u7jddbv7cyviptqjc7jusxh72uik7zt6adtckl5f4nwy2v72qd.onion/) The old address will remain operational for a short time as we transition to the new one. Using the `Open in Tor` button will take users to the new domain, but any _existing_ bookmarks will need to be updated. Please let us know if you have any questions, feedback, or concerns.
