Title: Unable to connect Brave Rewards to new Solana wallet – unexpected error
Hi,
I’m trying to connect Brave Rewards for the first time to a newly created Solana self-custody wallet.
I get this error after going through the connection process:
“Something went wrong. There was an unexpected error and we weren’t able to finalize the connection.”
Details:
- The Solana wallet/address is brand new and has never been connected to Brave Rewards before.
- I currently have about 1.745 USD worth of SOL in the wallet. 0.017
- Brave was freshly installed.
- I completely disabled my VPN.
- I tried on Android and Linux desktop.
- The exact same error occurs on both devices.
- The connection process gets through the signing/approval stage, but fails when finalizing the connection.
- I’m located in Argentina.
Could someone please check whether there is an issue with my Rewards profile or the Solana connection on Brave’s backend?
