New Brave user. Immediately discouraged to find that all updates are automatic (read forced).
Forcing updates is an enormous credibility concern. All too often do browser updates change privacy settings. I don’t want promises from Brave that updates won’t affect privacy; I want absolute control over whether I take the update at all.
If Brave expects me to just trust that they won’t change settings without my express and discrete consent, then I won’t keep this browser installed for very long. This is basic private browsing stuff guys.
