I love brave and have it on all my devices - except my Galaxy s24. for whatever reason,brave doesn’t play nice with proton pass (or other third party password managers from what i can tell from browsing some support threads).
proton pass works with all the other apps and browsers on my device (even Samsung’s own browser). but, for whatever reason, brave won’t recognize proton pass.
I have proton pass enabled on my system settings as the default password / autofill manager and have tried turning brave autofill on and off in the browser settings. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the app multiple times and nothing has worked.
but I’m pretty sure I remember it working with proton pass a year or so ago. it seems as if something changed with one of the updates. I can’t be sure, but that’s what I remember (I jumped around browsers for a while in my s24 before deciding on a default).
but yeah, any help would be appreciated. or if it’s a feature thing, it would be great if brave on android would support my third party password manager.

as far as “not playing nice,” it simply doesn’t work. when I try to autofill anything in brave, nothing shows up as a drop-down or option in my keyboard. every other application works the way it should with a password manager. brave does not. it does not matter what settings I use / turn on / turn off.
One Android setting that is easy to miss: check Android Settings → Passwords, passkeys & accounts (or Autofill service) and make sure Proton Pass is the selected autofill service there, not just inside Proton Pass. Then in Brave I’d leave Brave’s own password saving off while testing, fully close Brave, and try a login page with a normal username/password field. If it still does not appear, adding the exact Brave version and Android build will help others tell whether it is the known autofill regression or a site/form issue.

I thought I’d included (most) of this but evidently not so I’m adding it now.
I tried out PP last year for a backup PM to my default, Bitwarden, but it had one major drawback so I ditched it.
The above settings are what I have to use to get BW to work in Brave and I believe those are what I had to use for PP also, hence my suggestion.
Brave is very much my default browser but for some reason it hates third-party password managers. The cynic - or rather the realist - in me, believes they hope/want users to simply give up so they default to using Brave’s own PM.
