@spikespiegel I’ve actually reached out to a couple people at Brave about this, as people have been getting the error. I’m hoping to get them to look into it more but let me reply with what’s been mentioned.

It used to be that this message primarily occurred in people who had been flagged by Brave, but the system wasn’t giving the Flagged message.

Lately, Support is claiming that the message typically has been related to people having KYC issues. Example is Não consigo verificar minha conta Uphold - #3 by Evan123

I’ve occasionally seen people who said the issue on Android was solved by clearing cache and restarting the device. Not quite sure the equivalent on Windows.

Beyond that, I’ve seen some where it’s just connection errors, which gets fixed within a 24-48 hour period. Not sure if it’s a node somewhere, Brave or Uphold having a lot of activity on their servers, or what? But has worked.

Also been a few times where people said opening a second tab/windows where they signed into Uphold first and then tried connecting solved it.

Then there’s others that, quite frankly, just persisted and nobody seemed to be able to figure out. One User in particular had this issue for over 6 months, where Brave consistently worked with him to troubleshoot and try to figure it out. I forget what the final result was, only knew that it was very frustrating.
All of that said, it’s usually very difficult to know what to tell a person. You can try those things. Also, if you’re on a VPN, try to disable it while connecting.
Sorry I don’t have anything more specific or helpful, but figured I’d give you a reply with the base idea. Only thing I can say is lately Brave has been suggesting people reach out to Uphold. Then if you reach out to Uphold and you mention Brave, their support is lazy and will just tell you to contact Brave. So it’ll be a cycle. If you do contact Uphold, don’t mention Brave but just try to verify they have all your KYC done. Then once they validate that, maybe just mention Brave and see if Uphold can check that it is set for the API that talks to Brave.
After you have those responses from Uphold, then would be time to submit a ticket with Brave, which you do at https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?ticket_form_id=360001302431
