Hello, I have had the same settings on Brave for months, but since today, Brave Search has been showing me suggestions when I type something in the search bar, and I honestly don’t like it, but I can’t seem to fix it. I use Brave Search without an account and I live in Italy.

Testing:

- Clear cache, cookies, history (for `All time`, using `Basic` tab at `brave://settings/clearBrowserData`)
- Exit / Quit everything
- Restart the machine

In a Brave Browser New Window, go to: `brave://settings/search` and make sure any “Show search suggestions” / “Improve search suggestions” -type of toggle switch is _Disabled_ ( - IF you see that switch?! ).

And possibly, If suggestions still appear, then, in a Brave Browser New Window, go to: `brave://flags` and search for: “on-device head suggestions” ← you might _Disable_ that, and test.

(I am currently using an iPhone and cannot verify the existence of the switches and settings.)

Fairly certain they mean this, not anything to do with the browser itself since they said Brave Search and didn’t tag the browser.

So clearing cache cookies and history will not change or alter how a website is _intended_ to be used.

Unfortunately I do not believe there is a way to hide these specific auto-suggestions on the [search.brave.com](http://search.brave.com) website. Double checking on this now.

I use Brave (version 1.85.120) as my default browser and it has always worked well. I have never had any problems, except that now I am noticing suggestions on Brave Search that I did not have before, even though nothing has changed in my browser since then.

I automatically delete all data when I close the browser (I’ve been doing this for a few days). I’ve tried everything you wrote to me, but it’s already set up as you wrote. The only thing missing is brave://flags, and I hope it works.

Right, the website may have added the suggestions and that’s why, it’s not browser related.

It’s the website itself, _if_ you are referring to [search.brave.com](http://search.brave.com) specifically that is, and not the browsers built in search bar (which can be controlled).

OK, and to resolve this, should I send feedback or is what we have written here sufficient?

@Mattches said they were double-checking. Give it a moment and I’m sure if it has no feature, a suggestion can then be made.

@48696464656E you are in the right place to leave feedback. However, in order to have anyone take a look at this, we need to know exactly what the issue is. So as @MasterLink asked – are you referring to the search suggestions that appear _on [search.brave.com](http://search.brave.com)_ or are you referring to search suggestions that appear when searching using the _address bar_?

Yes, I am referring to the search suggestions that appear on [search.brave.com](http://search.brave.com).
