I think that suggesting safe and protected password like chrome has would be a really good addition to brave as Chrome has it and it is really useful. If it is already in the works thats even better.
this is a much needed feature in brave. this will be a great help in having strong password suggestions
Yes please I love using this feature in other browsers.
How could they have missed this? They have password management and saving. Right now every time a password is asked for, I have to open a new tab, open a strong password generator, copy the newly generated password, switch tab back to the password request, paste it it in. Then Brave saves it. Someone made a big mistake not adding this feature.
yes please
very much needed feat
yes we need this feature, but please make a setting where we can manage how this password will generated (length, numbers, 1"/$⌠and only lowercase âŚ)
This would be a fantastic feature. I generally donât like add-ins or extensions because they add a security risk and this being added as a core feature would be great. Thanks to the Brave team for a fantastic browser and all your hard work!
I agree with the other members of the Brave Software communityďźwe need an auto-suggestion password generator built into the browser asap. As mentioned by @silvanet I too as well use this method with mostly using the lastpass.com/password-generator or switching to Safari, bc then after creating a new password I can store it in Keychain app and access it across all devices via the cloud.
Update: This feature is included in after I tested filling out a form and âright-clickingâ on password field and once filled in a dialogue box appears with the message below.
**By the way I havenât tested this on mobile yet.
It would seem to me, that having passwords to your bank accounts stored in a browser is fine, as long as there is an account associated with that browser, requiring you to login with a Brave Account Login Password, otherwise, anyone using your computer can steal your money. Other browsers have this feature; Brave Browser should also have this feature, in order to compete. I know, Iâll never use the Brave Browser for this reason, only.
I agree. Devs, please enable this even if sync is not enabled.
I am pretty sure Iâve seen Brave âsuggestâ passwords in the Password field. I think the feature is there but it just doesnât seem to be 100% of the time. There must be some pattern to it. Am I crazy?
Itâs already in Brave for so long but idk when chromium changed creating passwords(cuz o guess itâs not changed by brave but by chrome) From real stron password with symbol like $#@%@ into just password generator with numbers&letters small/big caps.
When You are on any site,on the left bottom corner You have a KEY ICON icon OR just Press the field on this site with âpasswordâ. So You have 2 ways to use it as You like
This is great feature I also suggested but more important is to show them by default when you load the page again⌠Right now it just load the username and not the saved passwordâŚ
I believe this currently exists, but you have to right-click to get the option, and it doesnât always appear. But I agree: I wish it were more automatic and consistent like Chrome.
this is a feature is a life saver. pls, add this to the browser.
Yes, or, something like Bitwarden or LastPass, or 1Password, etc.
Why is suggest strong password not a thing by default for the desktop browser?
Please !! add the the suggest passwords ! ![]()
Iâm not sure what everyone is missing here.
Brave for Windows Desktop has had this feature for a long time. The only problem with it is that is doesnât include any special characters (@, #, &, etc) and many websites wonât accept a password without one. So you then end up having to manually add a special character. Maxthon had a feature that allowed you to set the password parameters if necessary. Brave needs to add this (or even better, intelligently read the requirements from the webpage, and automatically generate a password meeting those requirements). But the feature is already there. I used it to create an account on this forum in order to make this post!
