I have found alternate solution for firefox for this. For windows.
- Clear cache in firefox from settings. This logs out from all the logins(like gmail, yahoo etc)
- Prepare a script file with extension .bat say authenticate.bat using notepad or notepad++ , in that file (I have given code for automating the login of yahoo & gmail, you can add code for other websites if you want according to the layout of that website) place below code in that .bat file and save it.
- Double-click the .bat file, it will open the tabs in the firefox and automatically logs in the websites those mentioned in the .bat file , at %SendKeys% āpasswordā please your gmail/yahoo password.
Whenever this youtube message comes up , repeat steps above.

Short update I guess (just from my pov).
I have had no problems using cookie auto deleter until I missed a Brave update. And even without the update it took a few days for Youtube to start acting up again. With the update the problem is gone again.
So I would like to underpin your comment and say: Kudos to the team at Brave keeping this corporations greed in check.
Still blocked here, Just clear cookies/cache and test in private mode (no extensions).

I am not sure if this solution has been added, but if you block all cookies it will allow you to watch youtube videos.
braveshield > advanced controls > cookies drop-down (block all cookies)
I had the same problem a week ago. I then clicked on Brave shield and clicked on it and clicked on Aggressively Block Trackers & Ads and that fixed my problem
I was given the āwill be blocked after 3 videosā message. Aggressively blocking trackers & Ads reloaded and I was down to 2 videos. Blocking all cookies under shields worked, but also logs you out.
Aware of it, weāre still investigating. YT have updated the scripts https://drhyperion451.github.io/does-uBO-bypass-yt/ So itāll affect us and other adblockers.
YouTube finally made good on their threats today. I can no longer watch videos with ad blocking enabled on Brave shields. However, logged-in from a Private session is currently working. Thanks for sharing this fix. Iām not sure what Iāll do if that stops working too. Iām not going to suffer through the inane ads and until Google fixes its culture of censorship, that handcuffs its creators and makes for a poor user experience I will not be purchasing their Premium product.
I used to have problems but then everything went smoothly until today since I believe itās definitely going after accounts as well.
I have two accounts, one itās my main and the one I always used but I canāt longer watch any video. Iām just using my other account without any problems but it sucks since the algorithm itās definitely not the same.
Its definitely linked to the google account, i can watch logged in private mode though, this might sound like a conspiracy theory but, yesterday everything was working fine, today i talked at length how much i hated youtubes policy and how i was using brave to bypass it, and then all of a sudden braves adblock stops working on youtube, did any of you experience something similar or was it just a coincidence?
As i guessed, YouTubeās Next Initiative would be doing this(See the linked thread) and they might be actively working on getting this done in the backendā¦ If they managed to do this which is extremely hard to accomplish(tech being Stable), then adblocking on yt would no longer be known as we know itā¦
If shields is not working, just turn it off, dont use any kind of adblockers and just connect to a Russian VPN server as i said in my Previous response on this threadā¦
While connected, Yt ads will no longer be shown.
google cookie is causing the issue because you login to youtube with google.
Just clear google cookie for problems to go away.

Go to brave://components and update all components.
In Settings > Privacy & security > Cookies and other site data > See all site data and permissions > At the search box type in google > Delete all data related to āgoogleā by clicking on the bin
Doing the above steps solved my problems for youtube detect ads blocker issue.
You also solve the issue by delete all cookies but I only choose to delete cookies related to google.
Hope it solve for you too.

Thanks man! I was deleting all cookies but that makes it a pain on some sites (logins, etc).
Any fix for the iPad version of Brave yet?
Iāve been using Safari w/Vinegar plugin to view subscriptions, and either watching them there (Vinegar just skips the ads instead of blocking them, so videos still stutter), or copy/paste and play in a Brave private window so thereās no cookies.
This is really annoying. If YouTube really wants to get people to stop using adblockers, they really need to cut back on the ads, and stop inserting two in the middle of a 15minute video.
People ditched broadcast TV for this reason, now people are going to start ditching YouTube.
UPDATE: Well that was short lived, jus got the notification again from boob tube!
What was said fix? Not working here if it was in an updateā¦
