Stopping the prompt for a new password

I’ve turned off all options on paswords. Yet, I still can’t get rid of "Fill generated password”. PLEASE. :wink:

@RXT1885 why would you make that accusation? They read your post, acknowledged the issue, and let you know that there is an open Github for it.

That is not telling you to do anything. That is telling you that they are aware of the problem, have an issue tracker open, and eventually the developers will be working on it.

On a side note, if you erase all the passwords that you have saved in Brave then I believe it won’t suggest them. But if you had already saved anything prior it will always show them when you visit the website.

I’m not sure if you are saying that you already have done that? I mean as much as I read your post you do not give any big details of anything that you have tried. You just gave a brief description of your problem. In fact you even deleted the template that it generates and chose not to provide any details about what version of Brave you’re using, which macOS, or anything else.

The issue above is likely what you’re seeing – it is filed and I’ve also recently asked the devs to take another look at it as it’s been lingering for a while now.

If your issue is different than what you’re seeing in the Github thread above, then I’ll need a more detailed report.

Yes, I believe that’s it. It’s unfortunate bc I’ve had to change browsers bc of its obtrusiveness, and the fact that it’s been around for awhile.
