Brief Background and Context
I recently changed my Linux Mint XFCE theme to Chicago95 and wanted a Windows 95-style font as well. I tried fonts like MS Sans Serif and W95FA, but they didn’t suit me well, so I just went back to Ubuntu Regular.
The Issue
After that, I went and typed in facebook.com/messages , and the first thing I see is this:
As you can see in both of these images, almost every single piece of text is missing, save the emojis and the ñ’s.

Update: The same issue happens in Chrome as well. I’ll consult the Linux Mint forums, but help is still appreciated here.
