# \[solved!?\]Youtube videos not opening in full screen on brave (and chromium) on linux

Note: I just Checked that This issue exists on chromium as well so its not a brave-only issue.

**Expected result: Video opening in full screen without panels**

**Actual Result:**

**Brave Version( check `About Brave`):** [Brave 1.81.135 (Official Build) (64-bit)](https://brave.com/latest/) (fedora copr repo.)

**Additional Information:**

problem started about 2 days ago, maybe after an update, i did not change any system settings or brave settings

OS: fedora 42 kde plasma desktop (wayland)

**What i already checked** :

1. same on private tab without extensions

2. works well on firefox (and other non chromium based browsers)

3. other video sites works properly

4. cannot even enter “full screen“ on embedded videos and similar issue with popup window

5. worked normally on my linux mint PC (xfce, xorg), might be due to older or LTS chromium version being used or its a DE specific problem (or wayland)

issue is gone after i rebooted, closed all youtube tabs and reopened youtube (and yes i rebooted 3 times since the problem)

Just really weird stuff here
