Slow loading web pages (delay like 5 seconds each time, each site) Android 12

Samsung S10, Android 12, Brave Nightly 1.87.136 from Github (installed via Obtainium).

Foreword:

Brave on first launch (yesterday) warned me (through Android top menu - swipe from top to bottom) that i need to allow Google Play services, which i will not do (that was first thing that bothered me) along with Google being set as a default search engine (i would expect a SE selection prompt before “activating” one or activating Brave one and prompting).

Then the Rewards icon that could not be easily disabled. Had to find a tutorial, which says: Settings > Appearance > Enable “Hide Brave Rewards icon” option.

I do not see any bug report option in Brave, which would be convenient. Please consider improving these things.

Slow loading issue:

Each site I am loading (even if it is simple plain HTML with no Javascript) waits like 5 seconds before it starts loading). The third party data bandwidth meter shows no bandwidth during that time, then the page immediately appear reloaded and i see the bandwidth figure. For other browsers like Firefox Focus or Opera the pages loads under 1 second. Brave VPN is not enabled. This issue renders this browser not usable. Let me know please, what to try and check.

“Brave on first launch . . . warned me . . . that I need to allow Google Play services, which i will not do”

Perhaps you might remove that Brave Browser (Android) installation, and avoid a 3rd party (Obtainium) management of the installation, by doing the installation yourself:

About the Obtainium extension by Shane:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/obtainium-extension/

Perplexity.ai: “The Obtainium app (including its browser extension functionality) is distributed via its own GitHub project, not through any Brave‑specific GitHub site.”

Wrong. Obtainium does not interfere into the app. It is just a downloader from yours linked Github page.
