Description of the issue: On nearly all sites i visit there is a long loading delay. Like a youtube video buffering 15 years ago.
the issue has happened with every site ive tested when im not connected to a vpn.
google.com was the only one that didnt.
How can this issue be reproduced?
- Live on Åland i guess?
Expected result: sites loading the same regardless of vpn status. if anything it should be slower with a vpn enabled right?
Brave Version( check About Brave): 1.96.60
Additional Information:
network speed from ISP: 1000/1000
32GB of ddr4, 3600 MT/s, cl 18
7 5800X
9070 xt
no usage spikes during the issue.
im assuming its a geo location issue and thinking i should just swap back to firefox to solve this issue since i dont experience it there…
@Xidrian I don’t know why that would be the case in Brave but not Firefox. Do other browsers that work normally for you also require the VPN?
What? If you’re asking if I’ve tried with other chromium browsers then no I have not.
I just know that the issue persisted no matter what I did on brave except when using a VPN. But even with a VPN enabled it lagged sometimes.
Also I contacted my isp and they rebooted my modem but they hadn’t seen any issues ok their end.
I have been using Firefox since making this post cause its problem free but I would like to be able to use brave again.
I wasn’t but that would be a very useful test to perform.
I was asking if you need to use a VPN to browse using Firefox as well.
No Firefox does not need a VPN to function like normal.
Don’t know why.
But I think it may have been a coincidence cause I just tested on my phone and when connected to my WiFi some things are slow. But when using a different network I don’t have any issue att all with loading times.
