why does the sidebar appears when its set to Never. this bug has been reported in 2022. it is still here. steps to reproduce.
set side bar to never.
come settings.
open settings . toggle theme light/dark.
you’ll see sidebar in your other tabs.
Because the Theme and colors menu is part of the sidebar component and the panel appears along with it. I think that it is how we were able to get it to work with the existing Chromium code without having to make too many massive changes. Not sure if it will stay this way forever. Regardless, it doesn’t affect anything and goes away when you click the x.
