Profile Flagged for no reason

I disabled all the ads across all devices today. Here’s a walkthrough to disabling all the ad options. Disable Brave Crypto Features

Also if you want to help decrease the amount of systems phoning home to Brave thus impacting their view of the number of users you can go to settings / privacy & security and disable ‘Automatically send daily usage ping to Brave’.

Update (7/10/2023): My account was unflagged by Brave support.

I’m of the strange opinion that I did do something wrong, but was either completely unaware or Brave chose to regard it with malice rather than as an accident. Is it because I have Brave Rewards on three separate devices? Is it because I travel around with these devices, connecting to public and private wifi? Is it because I’ve used VPNs for work and university? Is it because I was online on all three devices at the same time at some point? Did a poor internet connection make it seem like I was attempting to view an ad multiple times? I’m honestly surprised there wasn’t a strikes system in place that let me know, hey, whatever it is you’re doing, don’t do it again.

Got flagged today on my Mobile, but think I was actually flagged many months ago. I use Brave and have ads enabled on my Tablet, Phone and laptop. My tablet said it was flagged a while ago, but I thought it was just because I had 3 accounts connected to Uphold or something, so I didn’t look into it. My phone is where I use Brave the most - it’s my main browser - and my laptop is a close second. I rarely use my tablet. Like many of you I never got paid for May Rewards so that’s how I found out. Super disappointed, BRAVE! Turning off the ads now unless this gets rectified.

It won’t rectify on its own. You’ll need to submit a support ticket as they’re looking at each case individually. After you submit your ticket, come back and post your ticket number and tag @Evan123 - this seems to have sped things up a bit for some.

Yes. I’ve seen three of us get unflagged on the forum in the last 24 hours. There may be more but these I have seen whilst casually reading today’s posts.

I think I know what’s going on. Gemini only supports US from now, I have just checked the list. I am in Australia and got my Gemini account before the restriction so that could be the reason. Lol, they should have just told me that.

I think they said that if you were already connected before the changes it should still work. :thinking: But that might’ve been Uphold :upside_down_face: I know @Saoiray and/or @SmartyAadi might have addressed this before so tagging them in case they can help.

Yes that’s correct. If you had connected to Gemini before the region unsupported issue started altogether, you should be connected. Unless, you deleted brave or reinstalled OS and hence a new Rewards profile was created.
If rewards profile is flagged then nothing can be done other than being reinstated.

I wish I could help but beyond suggesting submitting tickets alas I’m just another user like you. I just like to hang out here sometimes, usually when there’s been a problem. In the beginning when Brave was new was happy to contribute feedback and help out when there were glitches. But now I’m getting old and impatient, and I was kinda hurt wondering what the heck I did to get flagged in the first place. :innocent: But whatever it was, @Evan123 (I think) investigated and fixed it, and so I wanna give him props for that :trophy: and props also to @Saoiray for being so helpful and polite to everyone here in the community especially as some can be so rude to him, yet like you and I he too is just another user trying to help out and taking time out to attend Brave community calls and the like so that he can report back to us. :trophy:

Whilst like everyone I was out here complaining, I am equally thankful and keen to give credit where it is due to Brave for fixing this for me and several others so far. Hopefully there will be more as they work their way through the tickets, and hopefully others who see a solution can take the time to come back and give props too.

I have the same problem, today I open the browser and when I reconnect with uphold I get the message that the profile is flagged.
It works on my phone without any problem.

if you’re flagged, speak up! This thread needs eyes on it.

Please submit a support ticket. I left a link earlier in this same thread.

Still flagged. Submitted a ticket 6 days ago and never got a response.

@Evan123 I would like to see if someone at Brave can relook at my tickets to see if they can be unflagged my girlfriend and I use the same Gemini account the ticket for her laptop is 199883 and the ticket for mine is 199547.

I’ve had a ticket open since the 10th and they haven’t responded to me in over a week. Brave at this point doesn’t seem to care and this is a really bad look
