Problem with Bookmark Extension Switchmarks

Description of the issue:

I used the Bookmark Bar Manager “Switchmark” with Brave. Until the last version it was working perfectly, but now Brave crashed when I click on the icon to change the Bookmark.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

Download the Switchmarks Extension here:

Click on the Blue Icon in the Extensions bar.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

Windows 10, Version 1.2.41 Chromium: 79.0.3945.88 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

With my research I found out, that this could be an issue of this change in the latest version:

Would be nice if you could recommend a workaround or get the extension work again in the next version.

Thanks for reaching out. I went ahead and tested this myself and it appears that you are correct – attempting to use Switchmark freezes and (ultimately) crashes the browser. I’ve opened the following issue for the developers to review:
