You didn’t come off as sounding selfish. Having a reliable destination for generated rewards is a genuine widespread issue and for a program where ‘Rewards’ is literally in the title, it’s odd how this is still a major complaint.
UGGHH! I’ve been looking forward to being able to use Gemini instead of Uphold, hoping it would be a better alternative. Looks as though Gemini is a NOGO, as well.
Their fees are high as well. I really like Coinbase Pro a ton better.
Have to admit Coinbase was a heck of a lot easier to get signed up and verified, but I’m in the US and can’t say what they’re like for other countries.
“Please link your bank account or add a credit/debit card to finish setting up your Gemini account. This will allow you to fund your account with GBP and start trading.”
You don’t have to pay, you just have to add a bank account or a card.
It makes sense, otherwise how do you withdraw the money?
I’ve never had issues with Gemini. I don’t understand why it should be a “nogo”.
In my experience, they verify accounts 24/7 and you just have to wait 10-15 minutes after you upload the required documents. However, if you don’t have the documents you’re out.
Maybe this is a young man’s game but I will add my old man’s view.
I have been using Brave for a few years now.
Not collecting anything because … all the confusion.
Everything have a different name. BATs, Rewards, Tokens, Coins, Wallets, Exchanges, Verifications, Authentications, needing a phone apps, creating accounts. etc.
All this do something simple. Collect, store, withdraw or exchange something.
Others who are probably better at this complain all over the place that this is not working that is not working, so how can a more limited person expected to do this?!
Confusion I can blame on my age, the trust and willingness of just upload all your data to anyone who makes a “wallet” or exchange or what ever, is just very surprising to me.
People keep their money under the mattress because they don’t trust banks but this is ok? Everything gets hacked and nothing guaranteed but lets store money there?!
All these years I have been protecting my data as much as I could and now I should just give it away? It’s not the value lost as I would not have much, but that should be considered too.
All this verification to withdraw and such, yet all I need is an email and I can send and receive money by Paypal and lately eTransfer (or what ever it’s called in the bank) ?!
It seems like linux to me where everyone doing their own thing because " I can do better than you" and end up with a big mess. (yes they do work well at one thing if they did it right)
This looks like a big mess to me and most of these will disappear when someone comes up with easy , user friendly but as safe as possible option.
I don’t like Paypal but they have a wallet (only accept 4 coins now) and easy transfer abilities but since it’s a for profit entity, their motivation is different, but something like that is more likely to rise to the top. I guess I just wait for that.
I will continue to use Brave happily and looking forward to search engine, safe email and password manager would also be good. (simply don’t know how safe the pw manager is, I would like it to be a more separate from the browser)
(even pay for these as long as it’s non-profit oriented as profit making screws everything up)
Oh, thats long …
Saludos y Bendiciones. Dios con nosotros.
Agree.
Or why not the availability to enter a BAT wallet directly in form inside Brave…
Just create a wallet within a good company (not a Uphold like shame one…), and enter the wallet address in the rewards config. And no problem with the same account on many computers you are using… And Brave reinstall that empty your BATS because of a new wallet creation…
+1 please Brave provide an alternative to uphold
I don’t want to be tied to Uphold either.

Here’s an update for me: 10 weeks and still no resolution to my problem. Been verified on Binance, crypto.com, Coinbase, etc, but for some reason Uphold is a problem. Wouldn’t be a big deal except that customer service is absolute garbage.
I love Brave, but for me this reflects so badly on them. Feels like there is a money motive for them to make uphold exclusive for their wallet offering, and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Until they ask for a wire transfer to finish setting up your account. Now the question is how long ago did you set up your account because they are STILL asking for a wire transfer as of 24 hours ago (sorry now its 3 DAYS AGO) to finish setting up my US account.
uh huh.
it would be nice to have any alternative that does not have a device limit of 4…
I created the account last year and I didn’t get that question.
I should add I’m not a US resident (it might be different).
Anyway, how much money should you transfer? It’s not uncommon for banks, online casinos etc. to request a (usually small) payment in order to activate a new account.
I mean, if it’s 10 cents or $1, it’s no big deal. On the other hand, if they’re asking you for $100 or more, it’s a different kettle of fish.
They don’t mention an amount in any of their FAQs, and I still have three outstanding contacts for customer support over the last month that have yet to be responded to. plus banks charge for wire transfer prices, and I’m not happy with my bank claiming they don’t have fees then sheepishly admit oh yeah we charge THAT one. The fact that they have my drivers license, my bank ACH and Debit info already, and Ive went through their screening process twice in the last month, this is overkill.
Thought I’d offer my opinion that offers your post no solution:
I think Brave will become a software wallet to offer actual competition versus MetaMask. It is an insanely lucrative blockchain sector.
Brave will be a servicing wallet.
BAT survives.
The browser dies, but not the brand.
