this makes it IMPOSSIBLE to use the Community pages!!!

Can you try clearing cache/browsing data for Community and see if this changes the behavior? It may also be the result of a conflict between the browser and a particular extension you have installed, so you may want to try disabling those and see if that resolves the issue.
