Not receiving brave ads , after connect solana account to BAT rewards!

Briefly describe your issue:

after activating brave rewards , I started receiving Ads for 3 months , till it reaches 350 ads , after that I

connect my solana account to Bat reward , once I connect it all ads I receive gone and appear 0 ads , after this I receive no more ads , it has been 5 days and I receive only one ad ,

I check every thing , max ad/hour , upgrade brave to latest version ,…..etc.

What Operating System and Brave version are you using (Menu --> About Brave)?

“Linux Mint 22.1” ——— Brave 1.86.142 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Is your Brave Rewards Profile currently connected to a custodian or Solana? (yes/no)

Yes , solana

What date did you connect your Brave Rewards Profile?

I activate reward since December 2025 , and connect it with solana January 2026

cuz in egypt it’s hard to deposit in crypto wallet , and I should deposit to pay solana fee .

Have you been able to successfully receive payments in the past?

no , it’s first time

Are you using a VPN? (yes/no)

no

Are you in a supported region (see here for list of supported regions)?

yes, I think in self custody region

@abotaleb you likely answered your own story. When you don’t have Rewards connected to something like Solana or Uphold, the ad counter is for all ads seen. Once you connect, the counter only is for ads you are paid to see.

To differentiate, any ads about Brave’s products or services are known as house ads. These pay 0 BAT. And all 0 BAT ads do not increase the ad counter.

If you aren’t seeing many ads or the ad counter isn’t increasing, it likely is that you do not have a lot of ads in your region that are available for your OS.

Let me ask, what country are you in?

I’m from Egypt.

I understood that any brave ad like VPN or wallet …etc is house ad and doesn’t count.

and you’ve said lastly that the paid ads may be not suitable for your region !!

OK , I’m asking if the most of paid ads doesn’t suitable for Egypt population , why it’s appear from the start ?! , according to location which immediately known by the browser after installation (by IP address), the browser should push me the appropriate ads.?!

actually it’s so annoying when I start to send you a lot of ads , and when we connect to earn

we say , sorry sir ads not suitable ..!!!

I didn’t say that. What I said is you may not have a lot of companies in Egypt advertising right now. Or they have a lot of advertisements but not to target Linux. Sometimes advertisers will only want ads shown on things like Windows or Mac.

@abotaleb It looks like there are 10 ad campaigns in Egypt right now if I’m seeing things right according to https://brave.com/transparency/

You can go to https://sampson.codes/brave/ads/my_region/ to see what these look like and what shows. Sampson from Brave maintains that for everyone. It will show what ads can be seen, how much they pay, the view limits, which OS they appear on, etc. I also have written a thing on understanding the catalog at Understanding Brave Ads Catalog Viewer. That said, I’ll also try to touch on it again a bit below.

Understanding Ad Views

These will appear like below. You notice how it says 0 BAT? Also on the OS there it is showing that that particular ad set is for Linux (the penguin), Mac (the apple), and Windows. So those ads would not appear for people using Android or iPhone

It also shows view limits of 20 / — / — / 20. This is Day/Week/Month/Total. So you can see ads from that campaign up to 20 times in one day, but only for a maximum total of 20. If you hit the view limit, then you’ll not see the ad again.

On top it shows when the campaign started and when it ends. So this one started January 2026 and ends in December 2026. Obviously people will probably hit the maximum view limit fairly quickly.

If paid:

It would appear below. What we can see in the screenshot below is the campaign started May 2025 and ends June 2026. So about a year. In that, they limited to people seeing it at most 4 times per day, only 120 times in total. This means a person could potentially have hit the view limit in just 30 days, then no longer be able to see it.

One caveat on this one is it does show the iOS icon. So it would show the ad to people on iOS, but they can’t connect to earn. So they would not earn anything from this one.

Just Remember:

There is no guaranteed minimum amount of ads you can view. When Brave has some to show, they will. They will try to prioritize ads where they are getting paid to show them, so you can also get paid. If they have little to no paid ads, they’ll advertise their own services -or- they will show you nothing.
