Key thing was to appear in other countries. Brave has long advised that people should only connect to VPN in their region in order to reduce the chances of complications.
That said, VPN alone isn’t enough to be flagged. But constant use and in a way to abuse the system in an attempt to increase earnings would be a violation. It’s like paying for a movie ticket and the trying to sneak into all the other movies after the one you paid for ended.
In the Terms of Service that we all agree to when creating our Rewards account. Such as in screenshot below:

Hi @godas14 , using a VPN connection to an area outside your region is unsupported and will likely cause complications with the platform.

Viewing ads via a VPN in a region that you do no live is not a supported feature, and is the likely cause of your issue.

I have been flagged for using a VPN, I use a VPN, as I travel and I work from cafes / coffeeshops, there is anything i can do to get re=instated, I use brave browser as my primary browser and have done for a while, but this is rather annoying ? Any help from the team would be much appreciated !

I saw some videos suggest opening VPN would help you get more BAT.
But I saw some posts here says they are flagged.
So is it prohibited to use?
if you use VPN your profile will be marked as flag. So do not use vpn.
Just enable ads, set to how many ads you would like to possibly get in an hour, 1-5. Note this is not guaranteed you will get this per hour, but a max possibility. And turn off auto contribution unless you do not mind automatically contributing earned BAT to publishers etc. Make sure not to use VPNs or they can flag your account. Normally using the browser as your browse etc you should start seeing ads popping up. You won’t get paid until the 5th of the month so if you just started, you will not…
