Brave will not display images on Discord

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary):

  1. Launch Brave
  2. Go to Discord
  3. Go to a channel, the images (jpg, gif etc) most of the times will not apear
    When using Firefox, Chrome or Dissenter there is no problem

Expected Result:
The image should have appeared

Reproduces how often:
Always

Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):
Brave release -1.48.167 Chromium: 110.0.5481.104

Reproducible on current live release (yes/no):
Yes

Thank you for reaching us and I’m sorry to hear you are going through this. Could you kindly use guest mode to see if the issue persist? Additionally, please try disabling all shields to see if that solves the issue.

Hello, Guest mode or disabling shields did not work, but I’ve noticed that on while the images were not loading if I do Ctrl+F5, when the page reloads the images are shown.

Turn off “use graphics acceleration when available” in settings

This has happened to me before, and luckily they usually fix it within a week, so make sure to turn it back on every now and then if it causes issues.

I had similar issue with specific sites, news pages mostly. By adding the site URL’s to Settings: Allowed to show images it resolved the issue right away. Inconvenient but its a small number of sites were affected
