Hello - The rounded corners option can be disabled under Settings –> Appearance –> Show rounded corners on main content areas. (brave://settings/appearance)
What are you experiencing when attempting to disable?
Hi,
Well this is exactly what I did in settings/appearance. Didn’t work. I even reset all settings! And, I even uninstalled my complete Brave browser to install a new one. I didn’t touch the settings, but, the fresh new Brave browser kept showing the rectangles about everything!

Where’s the actual question? The title is not appropriate for this, nor is ignoring the template.
We know nothing about your device first, nor what version of Brave? Is this a PC? Mac? Android? iOS (iPhone/iPad)? Or perhaps Linux?
As was mentioned, it’s in brave://settings/appearance

If the setting is not there or isn’t working, then you do need to provide way more info other than the one-liner in the title.
Well, not giving the appropriate title and ignoring the template is most probably due to the fact that I’m new to the forum. Sorry for that.
I’m working on a Dell Inspiron laptop, Intel(R) Core™ 5 120U (1.40 GHz), 16.0GB with Windows 11 Pro, 64 bit installed. Last version.
My Brave I just downloaded a few days ago, has the version number 1.85.118, official build, 64 bit,
Chromium: 143.0.7499.169.
As I told, I looked at the settings, switched to off, and even resetted all the settings. As well uninstalling everything completely and downloading a new fresh Brave.
@Lambertsz you’re saying that if you go to brave://settings/appearance you don’t see this option?
Yes!
I see the settings indeed when I put brave://settings/appearance in my browser. And…it’s turned on.
Very strange: every time I went to the same settings just normally via the settings-menu,not via the address-bar, the setting for this option were switched off after I had done so!
Now I did this procedure via the address-bar it looks like the boring rounded corners have gone!
