* * * **Description of the issue:** **How can this issue be reproduced?** 1. Turn “use vertical tabs” on. 2. Is that expected behavior? I did some digging and found some thread where people were discussing keyboard combos (ctrl + , was it?) but it doesn’t work for me. OH? Please elucidate how the f\*ck am I supposed to find my tab faster when I have 20 tabs from the same service/domain/site opened alongside and all of them naturally show the same favicon? Chrome obeys the rule of least astonishment and shows the d@mn titles along the tabs in vertical mode. I can easily drag and resize the tab space there so that it only shows icons if I really wanted to (which I don’t). Are you for real? That completely destroys the core advantage of vertical tab mode for me. ---

Well there’s a button here: ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/brave/original/3X/f/0/f0ceee0a4f61bf8045bf64e77b152241f8c69f46.jpeg) When you click it, tabs strip expands and stays open: You can also set this behavior to be a keyboard shortcut in the event you do want the tabs to minimize for any reason (`Settings > System > Shortcuts`): ![image](https://global.discourse-cdn.com/brave/original/3X/5/f/5f09d9097ee42e01cdec5d524f644265463a5c1e.png) While they’re expanded you can adjust the vertical tab strip by clicking and dragging the way you would expect: ---
