Additional Information: Brave default browser. No address bar or SHIELDS icon displayed for any app. Cannot activate SHIELDS for any app.
Apologies but I’m unclear about what exactly you’re describing here. You’re saying you don’t see the address bar when you open the Brave browser app? If so, can you please share a screenshot of what you see on your end?
Don’t know how to do a screen shot but will describe what is happening. Brave is selected as default browser. Whern I open APP app there is no address bar for that selected app and no Brave ‘Lion head’ icon to select to turn Shields on or off for that app.
On Android you can take a screenshot but pressing the power button and the volume down button at the same time. Being able to see exactly what you’re seeing will be helpful in diagnosing the issue.
When I do that… it tries to get me to signup for Bixby… which I sure as hell don’t want.
Again… when ever I open ANY APP… it will display all APP header and other associated APP information starting at the very top of the screen space… but there is no address/search bar displayed and no Brave ‘lionhead’ icon at the right to activate/deactivate Shields. However when I open the Brave APP… the address/search bar and the Brave lionhead icon button both appear just like it does on all APP’s that I open on my desktop.
@skyking99 to clarify, when you download Brave browser on your Android device, you’re downloading a web browser. The Shield icon only appears in Brave browser, not in other applications on the device.
