New windows tile (rather than opening full-sized)

Hi — I imagine this is addressed somewhere and I just managed to overlook it, but new windows have started to open with reduced height and tiled. Is that a new feature? Is there a way to have windows open like they used to (in my case, full-sized and anchored at the top-left)?

Love love love the work you all are doing on Brave and BAT.

Version 1.21.73 Chromium: 89.0.4389.72 (Official Build) (x86_64)

@dae,
You should be able to open a new window, hit Maximize and/or drag and resize the window to your liking – then the next window you open should have the same size settings. Can you confirm that this does not have the desired effect for you?
