To piggy back on these two posts:
Swap the "More" menu with the normal/private toggle in the tab-selection view by @tomyl & About the new UI on iOS by @JayMin62desu
& also to summarize my own comments on them…
I would suggest swapping the Normal Tab & Private Tab Buttons (or Tab Type Selector) in the from side to side, so that Private Tab is on the LEFT and Normal Tab is on the RIGHT, simply for continuity sake, previously Private Tabs would open as if to the LEFT of the Normal Tabs, so I feel like that makes sense.
Then as suggested by @tomyl, I would SWAP the More button & the Tab Type Selector button from Top & Bottom.
Then as @JayMin62desu somewhat suggested, replacing possibly the Magnifying Glass icon to search (since you can just click the Address Bar to Search at the top OR Show More mid-way up) you can put the Tab Type Selector, in it’s place… though I feel that MIGHT not go over as well with the majority but we could see via FEEDBACK
, I just personally never use the Magnifying Glass icon (though I also don’t use Private Tabs all that much, but I likely will NEVER use the More option that is there now).
Also, I do like the new changes, and appreciate the bigger, bolder X to close tabs, however, I got used to swiping left AND RIGHT to close tabs, would it be possible to bring back that minor feature. I seem to ONLY be able to swipe to the LEFT to close tabs and it does NOT work closing a tab swiping to the RIGHT, (& THAT is why I tagged BUG in this Topics tags).
Again, not demands, suggestions… I’m curious what people think, especially the two folks I tagged since they helped with the ideas.
