Native Split Screen / Split Tabs Support for Brave Browser

Hello Brave Team,

First of all, thank you for all the hard work you put into Brave. I’ve been using Brave as my primary browser because of its speed, privacy features, and overall performance.

I would like to request a native Split Screen (Split Tabs) feature for the desktop version of Brave.

The idea is to allow users to display two tabs side by side within the same browser window, similar to how some modern browsers implement split view. This would greatly improve productivity for users who frequently:

  • Compare two web pages
  • Read documentation while coding
  • Watch tutorials while taking notes
  • Research information from multiple sources
  • Work with AI tools while referencing other websites

A native implementation would be more convenient than manually snapping two separate browser windows, especially for users with ultrawide or large monitors.

It would also be great if the feature could include:

  • Right-click on a tab → “Open in Split Screen”
  • Easy resizing by dragging the divider
  • Ability to swap the left and right tabs
  • Open links directly in the opposite split pane
  • Keyboard shortcuts for managing split views

I believe this feature would make Brave even more productive while keeping the browser clean and lightweight.

Thank you for considering this suggestion, and I appreciate all the work the Brave team does for the community.
