Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.
Description of the issue: Address bar at bottom shows “Move address bar to the top” instead of “Copy/Paste” like it used to do when long-pressing the URL field. If I do the same in the bar at top after moving it, it says “Move address bar to the bottom”. Quick-press in the bottom bar shows a blank address bar at the top and URL with Share, Copy and Edit icons. After going out of the browser to paste the URL elsewhere, then returning, I have to press the back button to get back to the original (not sure if that’s how it’s supposed to work). In any case, I find it confusing and more work than just having Copy/Paste appear (at the bottom). I can forget where I was and what I was doing by the time I do all that.
How can this issue be reproduced?
-
Set Address Bar to the bottom
-
Go to a website and long-press Address Bar until context menu appears.
-
Instead, do quick-press.
Expected result: Instead of Copy/Paste appearing where the address bar is currently placed, Move Address Bar to the top appears.
