Mods please help me understand this response from support ticket 199875

I don’t think there is an official plan in place yet as Brave have not publically mentioned any faults with the system :frowning:

Basically. Though not sure you’re phrasing it right on point. You can’t “disconnect” from the custodial these days. Essentially you’d just reset Rewards over at brave://rewards/ and it would start completely fresh. Any BAT pending that hasn’t arrived at custodial account would be lost. But then you’d start earning again and should receive payments.

In terms of everything that’s going on for now, I do say just try to hold on. As I shared in my topic, PSA: Current Rewards Issues (June 2023) *UPDATED* I’m trying to get some of the “higher ups” at Brave to investigate or at least advise what’s going on.

Sadly Brave isn’t always quick to respond as they look into things. And they don’t often work during the weekends. So we’re at a time of just having be a bit patient. Those who have spoken up have been heard. Main thing I want us to be careful of is that we’re not flooding these topics with the same handful of people complaining.

Usually I’d provide links where people posted on their issue and the “me too.” It really hits home when everyone has their own topic though, as it’s more links. But when I go to share links now, they’ve typically just been you, Doug1, Styles, Talgeeze, Mclovini87, etc. If it appears to be just a “handful of people making noise,” it doesn’t always get taken seriously. So I’m hoping that everyone can slow it down so we’re not drowning out the other people who are posting with issues.

If nothing else, I’m hoping to get an update by Tuesday night. (I’m saying hoping, not that anyone has guaranteed it. So could be longer, but I will get some sort of answer by the end of this coming week.)

I can’t believe you actually investigate them when I see tickets still open and unresolved after more than 16 month.

Thanks… did you see the links i added to my op? Ive actively posted on here when i was being over rewarded compared to what the estimation for the month was.

So it leaves me disappointed and disheartened when i get a generic response accusing me of doing something dodgy

Hopefully Brave staff remember the time I reported (and was rewarded for) discovering after an update that you could just keep refreshing and get limitless ads/rewards (when usually you could only get 4). Does that sound like the actions of a scammer? If I wanted to abuse the system that was the perfect opportunity.

Unfortunately I do not have time to continue this particular debate. I do hope everyone here understands that we are always trying to improve our systems and ensure that we make as few mistakes as possible when it comes to flagging Rewards profiles. I also hope that everyone understands how important it is to have strong anti-fraud tools implemented and that we are doing our best to rectify any mistakes that occur because of them.
