Mixcloud not loading/slow to respond

Hi,

I notice other threads have been started on this topic and as they are now closed I can’t add my 2 cents to them.

Anyway, I find Mixcloud either:

  1. doesn’t load (when accessing directly or via a link)
  2. slow to load.

I’m using Version 0.64.77 Chromium: 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit).

Okay a few bugs on this site; Noticed when I tried to register a facebook signin, it wouldn’t sign in (even though I’ve allowed facebook logins/embedded posts).

The actual loading of the site (with sheilds on, only 3rd-party trackers)
wss://websocket.mixcloud.com/ Seems to be stopping this script to load. (might be related to the facebook stuff, depending on the integration with the site)

Hi there, I am having this issue too- mixcloud.com is slow to load, and even when it does it refuses to play, saying “Oh snap, there was a playback error! Please play to try again”. When I try to access mixcloud embeds via www.nts.live/radio, the player says “Missing Token Error”. I don’t use facebook as a login with either site.

I’m using Version 0.64.77 Chromium: 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

Yes, referring to mixcloud.com and as @infinitebest mentioned, I get the white screen and ‘Aw, snap! Something went wrong’ page.

I also noticed when navigating to mixloud.com from https://www.nts.live/shows/youarelisteningto/episodes/youarelistening-to-6th-july-2019 there is a sad face along the footer of the page where normally the audio controls sit.

The page loads with Shields Down. Also get to view a dirty big advert :frowning:

I don’t want to get my hopes up, but it seems to be working with shields up. Looks like Mixcloud have made some adjustments to their playback interface. I’m hoping it’s all good from now on :crossed_fingers:
