Description of the issue:
How can this issue be reproduced?
Miss the Menu Bar. Can it be enabled?
Scanmarker Air uses ‘web bluetooth’ connection that Brave browser doesn’t seem to support. Anyway it can?
Expected result:
Brave Version( check About Brave):Brave 1.89.141 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chromium: 147.0.7727.102
Additional Information: Think that’s pretty clear.
For Windows no, the menu bar cannot be enabled.
While I don’t have one of these to test with, Brave should work with bluetooth connections as expected. If you want to add more information about that specific issue I can try and help troubleshoot it with you.
Fortunately or unfortunately, Scanmarker Air pen “connects” to BT through the web rather than behaving like a normal BT device. Have to go to app.scanmarker.com to connect them. Tried connecting with Brave; had to switch to Chrome/Edge to do it. Really not familiar with the process.
Have I been abandoned? No replies?
Can you add some details about what happens when you try to connect? What specifically happens? Are there any error messages? Have you allowed the site permission to use bluetooth connections?
Top screen is what I see when I open app.scanmarker.com.
When I click on BLUETOOTH on that screen, I go to the third screen (LR). When I click 'Got it," goes right back to LL screen, ad infinitum

You know, I could have sworn there used to be a Bluetooth permission, but none actually exist when I checked:
I searched all of settings for “Bluetooth” and nothing came up.
Should they be instead looking for one of these?
(Bluetooth is HID, but it’s also serial (well, can be), and “maybe” it’s USB? This one is confusing because I truly thought there was a permission for Bluetooth. I state USB specifically because most Bluetooth controllers are just USB devices, even onboard ones.)
EDIT: Just checked Chromium and Edge, none actually have an explicit Bluetooth permission so perhaps I’m misremembering this, but this does lead to the question above, what permission should they actually be looking for if it’s not actually called Bluetooth?
Good point @MasterLink – didn’t realized this had changed either. I believe the HID devices permission is what they want here.
