Make Current tab look more different from the other tabs

I see two issues about this but no action so far. One is four years old and one is ten months old but uncategorized which I read makes it invisible to Brave staff eyes.

Please make the active tab look different from the other ones. This is easy to change and will just make my life so much easier. I usually have 20 tabs open and because the active page’s tab is so hard to distinguish from the other ones, I probably spend an extra hour a day just trying to figure out which tab is the active one. As it stands, the active tab is just a fraction of a shade lighter than the other ones. This could be fixed so easily. Please do that.

I have the same difficulty and not infrequently close the wrong tab when a window has many tabs because the highlighting of the tab with current focus is so dim.

In my case it’s generally only an issue in a Private window, where the additional brightness of the tab with focus is minimal against the black background.

Why is this so hard to do..?

My active tab is indistinguishable from all the others (on Ubuntu Linux).
This defect almost makes Brave unusable for me. The fault has been popping up for years. I don’t understand why it is so hard to do something about.
Less AI, more usability please.

I have the same issue, although only in Private windows, where it can be near-impossible to find the active tab. I often have to up the screen brightness to ‘glaring’ in order to be able to distinguish it from other tabs.

A related issue is the very dim appearance of the non-active tabs. Here is a current example where the active tab actually looks okay (usually the case only when there are just a few tabs open), but the text identifying the other tabs is difficult to make out:

I am also really struggling with this. I have been trying various dark themes. The floating tabs make it more difficult. Has anybody found anything that works? This is rough on my eyes.

EDIT: It’s difficult to follow through on these since all of the old posts on the forum seem to end unresolved.

The solution was indeed there and just takes a lot of digging. Disabling the horizontal-tabs thing was the answer, in conjunction with going with an old dark theme.
