Hello Brave Support! I’m not able to find my Brave Profile or any user data associated with my brave browser installation. I have 1 user profile on Brave and a metamask extension. I was told to navigate to ‘/Users/[You]/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/’ and I don’t have any /Brave or /Bravesoftware directory. I cannot located my Profile 1 on my macbook and have been looking for the last 2 days. Can someone please help me…?? I upgraded to Brave [Version 1.68.141 Chromium: 127.0.6533.120 (Official Build) (x86\_64)](https://brave.com/latest/) I think this might of wiped out my ‘Account id’ which is used for my metamask login - so I can’t log into my metamask wallet which is the browser extension on Brave. Is there any way to recover the /AppData directory for Brave Browser…? Please help as I can’t log into metamask wallet for the last 3 weeks - Thanks! ---

Hello Szilard! Thank you for responding to my post. I’m able to open Brave Browser and I do see a Profile 1 user. [See screenshot enclosed]. I’m looking for my Brave installation path to get a vault phrase for my metamask wallet - which should be located at: Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser/Default/Local Extension Settings/nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn Actual on my Mac laptop: Library/Application Support/ There’s **NO Brave Software browser installation** anywhere on my macbook and it is very alarming. How can I restore my browser installation location…? I read a bunch of posts where Brave Browser corrupts or deletes user data. Please help on next steps of how do I find where my Brave Browser installation files are at…? Thanks! Just confirming, you also lost your bookmarks/browsing history/etc., correct? I’m guessing your profile directory is not just hidden at the moment, since you wouldn’t have lost any data otherwise. But just to make sure: ```auto cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser ``` in Terminal gives you `cd: no such file or directory`, right? I’m also wondering if the directory is still in your Trash, and if so, what the `Date Added` column says — if you can’t see this column, switch to list view (`Cmd` + `2`), and add it from the context menu by right clicking on the column headers at the top. ---

Thanks for your email - this has cleared up 1 thing - using the terminal shell I was able to navigate to cd ~/Library/Application\ Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser - which is amazing! When I was using the Finder window - I’m not able to navigate to the /Library directory…? In order to use the tool to restore my metamask vault - there is where I need to navigate to using the Finder window. Please see screenshot enclosed. Thanks! `Library` is a hidden folder — hit `Cmd` + `Shift` + `.` in Finder to make it visible. ---

@stella100 Would you be able to run: ```auto /Applications/Brave\ Browser.app/Contents/MacOS/Brave\ Browser --args --enable-logging --v=1 ``` from Terminal, and then share with me in a DM the resulting `chrome_debug.log` that’s under `~/Library/Application Support/BraveSoftware/Brave-Browser`? ---

Hello! Thank you for your help. I’ll do the logging and get back to you. Have you worked with getting the \*.ldb file that has the vault phrase for Metamask wallet extension in Brave…? That’s what I’m try to do. I’ll get back to you over the weekend. Any idea of why I have 6 profile directories for 3 different MM wallets in browsers (Brave, Edge, Chrome)…? Thanks! S ---
