Lost all my bookmarks

i was using my brave browser and i accidentally clicked some keys in keyboard and suddenly all my bookmarks replaced by brave help center bookmarks
All the history details and profile is there just the bookmark missing and new home page was replaced

To be clear are we talking Bookmarks or Top Sites > Favourites?

In the most recent update some of us noticed the Top Sites widget/card on the NTP flipped to frequently visited rather than favourites… maybe it was that or maybe you just accidentally flipped it to frequently visited?

In the newest update some of us saw the NTP revert to the default of Frequently Visited rather than Favorites (which used to be called Top Sites)

Frequently Visited shows what websites you visit the most. This is where it seems to be “created automatically.”

All you need to do is switch it back.

Hit the hamburger menu on the far right:

Choose Show Favorites

And yes, the top sites phrasing is there, but that’s just referencing the card/widget in whole. But the content displayed in it is just favorites or frequently visited.
