Hello Brave Team,
I would like to report an issue I noticed recently with the Brave Rewards system.
I have been monitoring the number of ads viewed during this month, and it had reached around 630 ads, but to my surprise, the number suddenly dropped to 450 ads before the end of the month and before the payout date.
I did not change any settings, pause ads, or make any modifications related to Brave Rewards, so there seems to be no clear reason for this decrease.
Could you please check if this is a synchronization issue or a problem with how ad statistics are updated?
I truly appreciate your efforts in improving the user experience, and I would be grateful if you could clarify the reason behind this unexpected reduction or advise on how to avoid this issue in the future.
Thank you for your time and support.
Best regards,
anwarsassi

@anwarsassi When the browser recently updated it introduced a change. If an ad pays 0 BAT then it doesn’t increase the counter. They are setting it so that it only counts paid ads.
So those ads that “disappeared” in the update were the ones that paid nothing. And going forward it’s possible/probably you’ll see a lower count of ads since it’s not including the House Ads that pay nothing. You can see the Github where they implemented the change at https://github.com/brave/brave-core/pull/31019

Personal Note
I really do suggest you try searching for existing topics before creating any in the future. As you can see, it gets old seeing people just rushing in to ask the same question and people having to repeat themselves over and over.
Do keep in mind, I’m just an active user and not employed with Brave or anything. I just occasionally try to point out things like this for people who aren’t quite aware. The many duplicate topics not only make it harder for people to get answers for other issues, but it can be draining for the people trying to help. It’s like everyone posting is the kid in the backseat who keeps asking, “are we there yet?”
