I’m in Germany, my OS locale is set to en_US. When search I for “wenko crevada duro” I get a reply in spanish!
Why though ?
@Olluz it’s possible the search results looked the way they did because of how the phrase was worded and which sources the system thought matched best. None of the words in that term are German, though “duro” is Spanish. When using AI, it helps to include more context instead of just short or generic words. That way, the system can better understand what’s being asked and identify the correct language for the reply.
The phrasing we use, the sources it pulls from, our location, and even IP address can all influence the results.
That said, when I tried it again just now, I only got German results. It might have just been a one-time glitch.
thanks a lot for the reply and the information provided. You might be right, maybe it was just a one time glitch. Now the results I’m getting are in German (using the same search term). The words used are just a company and its product name. Imho opinion those should not have an impact on in which language the result gets displayed. Why not just stick to the user’s locale ?
