Description of the issue: Recently whenever I use ChatGPT web on my iPad 10th gen, the browser becomes unresponsive. The text box will not respond to display the onscreen keyboard and scrolling through the screen becomes very laggy or unresponsive. Also I noticed the back of my iPad starts getting warmer and warmer in this state which I think is high cpu usage. The only way to stop this issue is to close the browser or the tab. I have tested this while in a regular session or a private session. This is with shields off and cache cleared. If I use Safari, then there’s no issue.
As I was typing this post, I decided to try removing the app and reinstalling. This actually fixed the entire issue. I have been using Brave browser on iPad since last November or December and recently updated to the current version from the App Store. Therefore, I think there might’ve been an issue with the update . I don’t know if I had a specific browser setting that was causing the issue.
update: The same issue came back…I removed the app and reinstalled again. On reinstall, It looks like another version was released Version 1.81 (134). Maybe it will work better.
How can this issue be reproduced?
-
Use Web ChatGPT in Brave browser on regular or private session. Logged in or off.
-
Type a simple question. After that, try to type a follow up . This will usually lock up my browser and iPad will start getting warm.
Expected result:
**Brave Version( check About Brave):**Version 1.80.1 (121)
